Bible Study: A New Heaven & Earth
A New Heaven & Earth 12.31.08
Hello My Friend/Guest,
Today we are completing our studies on the book of Revelation and also completing the entire Bible for the year. Please read Chapters 21-22 in your Bible or you can Click Here to read them online. Today we are reading about the new heaven and the new earth; the heavenly Jerusalem; and Christ's coming. Today's message focuses on the importance of realizing that nothing we have on this earth will compare to what we will enjoy living in the new heaven and the new earth.
God did not leave us with any uncertainty as to what lies beyond the grave. All true followers of Christ will enjoy living in a new heaven and a new earth. "And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea. And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God. And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away." (Revelation 21:1-4). Our war against sin will soon come to end and all our trials and tribulations will be no more. Can you inagine? No more crying, no physical distress, and no suffering; and no condemnation will press on our consciences.
Perhaps one of the most wonderful things to enjoy is that we will not have Satan to control us any longer. Praise God! "And the nations of them which are saved shall walk in the light of it: and the kings of the earth do bring their glory and honour into it. And the gates of it shall not be shut at all by day: for there shall be no night there. And they shall bring the glory and honour of the nations into it. And there shall in no wise enter into it any thing that defileth, neither whatsoever worketh abomination, or maketh a lie: but they which are written in the Lamb's book of life." (21:24-27). We close this year and glorious revelation of Jesus Christ, having completed the reading of the entire God-given Guide to Life. After prayerfully reading it, we will never be the same and one of these days, sooner than we think, we will turn the last page in the book of our own journey through life to delight at seeing our names recorded in the Lamb's Book of Life.
Today's Prayer:
Dear God,
As we live by faith and not by sight we see much of what the world does not see because we see it through eyes of faith. By faith we see a risen Savior who died for us and who is now interceding on our behalf. By faith we see the coronation day when all the saints will be gathered in the clouds to meet Jesus in the air. By faith we believe that life’s trials will be worth it all when we are ushered into the pearly gates and gather with saints of all the ages to praise our glorious Savior around the throne. It is by faith that we come to Jesus and it is by faith that we will stay the course. For it is not the one who runs the swiftest nor the one who runs for a day, but the one who endures to the end that will be saved. The struggles of this life diminish when we walk by faith and not by sight. Lord, navigate our steps as we journey here below. In Jesus' name........Amen.
Have a wonderful day/night! See you next year.
God Bless and Happy New Year!

Bible Study: Salvation
Salvation 12.30.08
Hello My Friend/Guest,
Today we are continuing our studies on the book of Revelation, please read Chapters 19-20 in your Bible or you can Click Here to read them online. If the link does not work you can copy and paste this one into your browser: biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Revel ation%2019-20&version =9
Today we are reading about the marriage supper of the Lamb; the rider on the white horse; Satan bound and doomed; and the great white throne judgment. Today's message focuses on the importance of knowing your Salvation. If you were to die today do you know for sure that you are going to heaven?
The first part of chapter nineteen is devoted to the the Lamb, His Bride, and a great multitude of people worshipping God. "And after these things I heard a great voice of much people in heaven, saying, Alleluia; Salvation, and glory, and honour, and power, unto the Lord our God:.........And again they said, Alleluia And her smoke rose up for ever and ever. And the four and twenty elders and the four beasts fell down and worshipped God that sat on the throne, saying, Amen; Alleluia. And a voice came out of the throne, saying, Praise our God, all ye his servants, and ye that fear him, both small and great. And I heard as it were the voice of a great multitude, and as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of mighty thunderings, saying, Alleluia: for the Lord God omnipotent reigneth. Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honour to him: for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and his wife hath made herself ready." (Revelation 19:1,3-7). The word Alleluia is a Hebrew word made up from two words, Hallel, meaning Praise and Jah, meaning The Lord.
Recognizing the Lord in our daily circumstances will soon cause our whole life to take on a new dimension. We will experience a satisfaction which the worldly minded cannot comprehend. Saying "Praise the Lord!" is an acknowledgement that we are really satisfied with His arrangements.
The final destination of Satan and all who reject Christ as Savior and Lord is one of great significance. All who knowingly reject Jesus and deceive the lost will be cast alive into a lake of fire. "And the beast (the Antichrist) was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought miracles before him, with which he deceived them that had received the mark of the beast, and them that worshipped his image. These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone.............And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever." (20:10,20).
As long as we are on this earth we can make the decision to accept Jesus, but once we leave there is no turning back. Sadly, those who do not know Jesus will be cast into the fire as well. "And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire." (20:14-15).
Yes, it is a scary thought, but Praise the Lord that all who are saved are in the book of life and as long as we are on this earth we can warn and teach others the importnace of accepting Jesus into their lives. How joyful it will be for those who do repent and accept Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord of their lives to see again their loved ones and all the saints that we have read about in the Bible. No one has to be cast into the fire, we all have a chance to be written in the bookof life. We can join with the saints of all the ages and say, Alleluia!" We are saved!
Today's Prayer:
Dear Jesus,
I confess that I am a sinner. I believe that You came to this earth and died on the cross as a substitute for me and my sin. I place my faith in You and what You have done for me. I receive You into my life and choose this day to follow and serve You. In Your mighty name, Jesus........Amen.
Enjoy the rest of your day!
God Bless and Happy New Year!
Blessings,
Christina

Today we will read about the sun-clad woman; the dragon, a baby boy; the blood of the Lamb; and the beasts. Today's message focuses on the importance of knowing that the devil is always around causing trouble in order to get us to walk away from God. We must daily ask for the Power of God to keep us shielded from his wrath.
Dear God,
We earnestly seek You for wisdom regarding the daily circumstances of our lives. Help us to incline our hearts toward You for understanding all that You have to teach us in the lessons of life. During the quiet sessions when Your voice seems silent help us to trust You knowing that You work all things out for our good, for Your glory, and in Your time reference. In Jesus' name.......Amen.

Hello My Friend/Guest,
Today we are continuing our studies on the book of Revelation, please read Chapters 9-11 in your Bible or you can Click Here to read them online. If the link does not work you can copy and paste this one into your browser: biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Revel ation%209-11&version= 9
Today we will read about the fifth, sixth, and seventh trumpets; the angel and the little scroll; and the two witnesses. Today's message focuses on eating God's Word. When we take the time to digest all of God's Word He will give us the wisdom, strength, and protection needed to overcome all things and to teach others about Him.
John was given a little book, he was directed by a voice from heaven to eat it. "And the voice which I heard from heaven spake unto me again, and said, Go and take the little book which is open in the hand of the angel which standeth upon the sea and upon the earth. And I went unto the angel, and said unto him, Give me the little book. And he said unto me, Take it, and eat it up; and it shall make thy belly bitter, but it shall be in thy mouth sweet as honey. And I took the little book out of the angel's hand, and ate it up; and it was in my mouth sweet as honey: and as soon as I had eaten it, my belly was bitter. And he said unto me, Thou must prophesy again before many peoples, and nations, and tongues, and kings." (Revelation 10:8-11). The book is symbolic of God's Word. Once it was digested, he was qualified to tell the world that the little book has a message that is exceedingly sweet to those who receive Christ as Savior, we too are to eat the book. Eating all of it speaks of understanding and appropriating all the Scriptures into our lives.
Jesus then led two witnesses to face the fierce opposition of those who hate God, "And I will give power unto my two witnesses, and they shall prophesy a thousand two hundred and threescore days, clothed in sackcloth. These are the two olive trees, and the two candlesticks standing before the God of the earth. And if any man will hurt them, fire proceedeth out of their mouth, and devoureth their enemies: and if any man will hurt them, he must in this manner be killed. These have power to shut heaven, that it rain not in the days of their prophecy: and have power over waters to turn them to blood, and to smite the earth with all plagues, as often as they will. And when they shall have finished their testimony, the beast that ascendeth out of the bottomless pit shall make war against them, and shall overcome them, and kill them. And their dead bodies shall lie in the street of the great city, which spiritually is called Sodom and Egypt, where also our Lord was crucified. " (11:3-8). They will be invincible until they shall have finished their testimony. Then and only then will these witnesses for Christ be martyred in the city where Jesus was crucified.
It is wonderful to know that, regardless of all else, our work for the Lord cannot end until He is pleased to promote us into His presence. Regardless of how fearful our future may appear, we can enjoy the peace of God, knowing that everything is under His control and that all things work together for good. "And the seventh angel sounded; and there were great voices in heaven, saying, The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall reign for ever and ever. And the four and twenty elders, which sat before God on their seats, fell upon their faces, and worshipped God, Saying, We give thee thanks, O LORD God Almighty, which art, and wast, and art to come; because thou hast taken to thee thy great power, and hast reigned." (11:15-17).
The same voice of God speaks through His Word to each one of us who makes up His Church today. He calls for a dedication and for a thankful spirit. He calls for a sense of urgency to make us equal to the tasks He has placed before us. He looks for believers who pray from the heart and are ready to serve Him. Are you ready to serve Him? Fear not, He knows when you are ready and waits patiently for that time.
Today's Prayer:
Dear God,
We are mindful that we not only fall short of Your glory, but we also fall short of understanding. Understanding all that You want to teach us in this life and the life yet to come, but we draw near to You with a sincere heart as we study Your truths and seek to apply them with understanding to our minds and hearts. This comes about as we read the Scriptures, as we meditate in prayer, as we contemplate Your holy character, and even as we make wrong decisions that force us to reaccess our actions and go back to Your infinite wisdom and understanding. Teach us Lord and lead us along the path that You have chosen for us. In Jesus' name.......Amen.
Have a wonderful and blessed day!
God Bless you,
Christina

Bible Study: King of Kings
King of Kings 12.25.08
Hello My Friend/Guest,
Today we are continuing our studies on the book of Revelation, please read Chapters 6-8 in your Bible or you can Click Here to read them online. If the link does not work you can copy and paste this one into your browser: biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Revel ation%206-8&version=9
Today we are reading about the seven seals, the 144,000 that are sealed, the numberless multitudes worshipping God; and four trumpets sounded. Today's message focuses on Jesus, the King of kings.
Sometime in the near future there will come a time when Christ, the King of kings, will appear before all mankind and those who have been rebellious of God will face judgement. "And I beheld when he had opened the sixth seal, and, lo, there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became as blood; And the stars of heaven fell unto the earth, even as a fig tree casteth her untimely figs, when she is shaken of a mighty wind. And the heaven departed as a scroll when it is rolled together; and every mountain and island were moved out of their places. And the kings of the earth, and the great men, and the rich men, and the chief captains, and the mighty men, and every bondman, and every free man, hid themselves in the dens and in the rocks of the mountains; And said to the mountains and rocks, Fall on us, and hide us from the face of him that sitteth on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb: For the great day of his wrath is come; and who shall be able to stand?" (Revelation 6:12-17). Christ, the Lamb of God came to the earth to show God's love for all who receive Him as their Savior. Many have refused His love and have chosen to remain under control of the devil who keeps them captive. Sadly, all who stay under his control will face judgement.
However, we are thrilled to read one of the greatest promises of the Bible. "After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands; And cried with a loud voice, saying, Salvation to our God which sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb. And all the angels stood round about the throne, and about the elders and the four beasts, and fell before the throne on their faces, and worshipped God, Saying, Amen: Blessing, and glory, and wisdom, and thanksgiving, and honour, and power, and might, be unto our God for ever and ever. Amen. And one of the elders answered, saying unto me, What are these which are arrayed in white robes? and whence came they? And I said unto him, Sir, thou knowest. And he said to me, These are they which came out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb." (7:9-14). This multitude is all beleivers who have overcome the suffering and tribualtions they faced throughout their earthly journey. This is a wonderful revelation that has strengthened the faith of many Christians who have faced fierce opposition from a hostile world.
Each generation of believers who have their hearts set upon living for Jesus have always been a small minority. However, the total population of heaven will be a great multitude, which no man could number. These faithful Christians may not have had much of earth's pleasures, but life is exceedingly short compared to eternity. The trials we face now will seem insignificant compared to the glorious privilege of being in the presence of the King of kings for all eternity. "They shall hunger no more, neither thirst any more; neither shall the sun light on them, nor any heat. For the Lamb which is in the midst of the throne shall feed them, and shall lead them unto living fountains of waters: and God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes." (7:16-17).
Today's Prayer:
Dear God,
How grateful we are that Jesus came into this world to save sinners; to turn despair to hope, darkness to light, and death into life. All that we have need of and presently rely on is abundance from Your generous Hand. You are worthy of our trust and deserving of our fully surrendered life. From the cradle to the cross You, Jesus are the true reason why we enjoy Christmas day. We celebrate Your birth, our Lord and Savior, Happy Birthday to You! In your mighty name, Jesus...........Amen.
Have a wonderful Christmas!
God bless,
Christina

Bible Study: A Part-time Christian
A Part-time Christian 12.24.08
Hello My Friend/Guest,
Today we are continuing our studies on the book of Revelation, please read Chapters 3-5 in your Bible or you can Click Here to read them online. If the link does not work you can copy and paste this one into your browser: biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Revel ation%203-5&version=9
Today we are reading about the Lord's messages to the churches at Sardis, Philadelphia, and His disapproval of the church at Laodicea. Today's message focuses on the importance of realizing that we can not be part-time Christian's. Once we accept Jesus into our lives, the old life that we use to live is slowly replaced with a new life with Jesus, but You have to make a choice to either serve God or the world.
The church in Sardis could boast that there were no false doctrines being taught; but there was an equally serious sin, they were dead in their works. "And unto the angel of the church in Sardis write; These things saith he that hath the seven Spirits of God, and the seven stars; I know thy works, that thou hast a name that thou livest, and art dead. Be watchful, and strengthen the things which remain, that are ready to die: for I have not found thy works perfect before God. Remember therefore how thou hast received and heard, and hold fast, and repent. If therefore thou shalt not watch, I will come on thee as a thief, and thou shalt not know what hour I will come upon thee. Thou hast a few names even in Sardis which have not defiled their garments; and they shall walk with me in white: for they are worthy. He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels." (Revelation 3:1-5). Being dead in works is when one teaches the Word of God, but does not apply that teaching to their own lives. Thankfully, all who confess of their sins are forgiven and made white.
Jesus commended the church in Philadelphia for their faithfulness, "And to the angel of the church in Philadelphia write; These things saith he that is holy, he that is true, he that hath the key of David, he that openeth, and no man shutteth; and shutteth, and no man openeth; I know thy works: behold, I have set before thee an open door, and no man can shut it: for thou hast a little strength, and hast kept my word, and hast not denied my name.........Behold, I come quickly: hold that fast which thou hast, that no man take thy crown. Him that overcometh will I make a pillar in the temple of my God, and he shall go no more out: and I will write upon him the name of my God, and the name of the city of my God, which is new Jerusalem, which cometh down out of heaven from my God: and I will write upon him my new name." (3:7-8,11-12). All who remain faithful to Jesus no matter what they face, and this includes times when all we have is the strength to say "Help Me, Jesus", have Him right there with us and no one can take Him away from us.
The Laodicean believers prided themselves on their ability to compromise. The majority of church members in Laodicea probably congratulated themselves on being moderate and broad-minded, but Jesus saw nothing commendable about what they were doing. "And unto the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write; These things saith the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation of God; I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot. So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth. Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked: I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see. As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent." (3:14-19). We can not compromise with the world in order to fit in or live in peace. Jesus said that no one can serve two masters, we either live for Him or the world. He much rather us not be devoted to Him at all then to try fit Him into our schedule.
We have much to be thankful of and so much more waiting for us when we walk with Jesus, I think back on the years without Him in my life and I was so empty and never satisfied with what I had. Now, I am more happier than any time in my life. We can all experience more happiness in our lives, simply by making Jesus a part of it.
Today's Prayer:
Dear God,
Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves have received from You. As recipients of Your tender compassions and tremendous comfort help us to be like cisterns pouring out the mercies we receive from You into the lives of those who desperately need it.
Have a blessed day/night!
God Bless you and Merry Christmas!

Bible Study: False Doctrine
False Doctrine 12.22.08
Hello My Friend/Guest,
Today we are studying the books of II & III John, and Jude, please read II & III John and Jude in your Bible or you can click the following links, if the links do not work you can copy and paste the link next to them.
II John : biblegateway.com/passage/?search=2%20J ohn%201&version=9
III John : biblegateway .com/passage/?search=3%20J ohn%201&version=9
Jude : biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Jude% 201&version=9
Today we will be reading about the commandment to love one another; the warning against deceivers; Diotrephes's rebuke; and the judgment on false teachers. Today's message focuses on the importance of staying in the truth of God's Word and telling others.
The book of II John is the 24th book/19th epistle of the New Testament and contains 1 chapter. The author of the book is John and it was written to the "elect lady and her children," which means the Church and its members. (The Church is always addressed in the feminine gender because she is called the bride of Christ.). The purpose of the letter was to caution believers to be faithful to sound doctrine and to warn against false teachers. What we are to learn from the book is that we must guard against false teachers who cause us to lose the spiritual qualities we have developed and who make us partakers of their evil.
In this brief letter to the Church John reminds them that we are commanded to love one another. "The elder unto the elect lady and her children, whom I love in the truth; and not I only, but also all they that have known the truth; For the truth's sake, which dwelleth in us, and shall be with us for ever. Grace be with you, mercy, and peace, from God the Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of the Father, in truth and love. I rejoiced greatly that I found of thy children walking in truth, as we have received a commandment from the Father. And now I beseech thee, lady, not as though I wrote a new commandment unto thee, but that which we had from the beginning, that we love one another. And this is love, that we walk after his commandments. This is the commandment, That, as ye have heard from the beginning, ye should walk in it. For many deceivers are entered into the world, who confess not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist." (II John 1-7). Hold on to the truths that are in the Bible and do not be decieved by those who try to change your way of thinking.
The book of III John is the 25th book/20th epistle of the New Testament and contains 1 chapter. The author of the book is John and it was written to a man named Gaius. It is written to both him and the church with which he was connected. There is no way to identify who this man was, as the Bible gives no further information on him. The truths of the letter are applicable to all believers. The purpose of the letter was to commend Gaius and Demetrius for their Christian testimony and to reprove the unchristian behavior of Diotrephes. What we are to learn from the book is that our lives are examples of either good or evil to others around us.
In this brief letter John emphasizes the importance of staying away from things which are evil. "The elder unto the wellbeloved Gaius, whom I love in the truth. Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth. For I rejoiced greatly, when the brethren came and testified of the truth that is in thee, even as thou walkest in the truth. I have no greater joy than to hear that my children walk in truth.........Wherefore, if I come, I will remember his deeds which he doeth, prating against us with malicious words: and not content therewith, neither doth he himself receive the brethren, and forbiddeth them that would, and casteth them out of the church. Beloved, follow not that which is evil, but that which is good. He that doeth good is of God: but he that doeth evil hath not seen God. Demetrius hath good report of all men, and of the truth itself: yea, and we also bear record; and ye know that our record is true." (III 1:1-4,10-12). This is a reminder to keep our thoughts pure and get around godly people and things.
The book of Jude is the 26th book/21st and last epistle of the New Testament and contains one chapter. The author of the book is Jude (the earthly brother of Jesus by Mary and Joseph) and it was written to all Christians, although the specific audience at the time were members of churches in Palestine and/or Asia. The purpose of the letter was to warn against false teachers and what we are to learn from the book is that we must always be alert for false teachers who divert believers from the truth of God's Word.
In this brief letter to all believers Jude expresses the importance of holding on to the truths of God's Word and being careful not to let the ungodly people get around them to corrupt their thinking. "Jude, the servant of Jesus Christ, and brother of James, to them that are sanctified by God the Father, and preserved in Jesus Christ, and called: Mercy unto you, and peace, and love, be multiplied. Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints. For there are certain men crept in unawares, who were before of old ordained to this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness, and denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ." (Jude 1:1-4).
There is a superficial and deceptive unity being promoted today by some who have joined hands with religions that reject Jesus of Nazareth as the Only Lord God, and our Savior Jesus Christ. Other religions deny either the total deity or the total humanity of Jesus. Some assume there is only One God, but that He is called by various names, such as Allah or Buddha. They ignorantly conclude that as long as you are sincere, it doesn't matter what you believe you will go to heaven.
Jude also warns that the deceivers will be judged, "But these speak evil of those things which they know not: but what they know naturally, as brute beasts, in those things they corrupt themselves. Woe unto them! for they have gone in the way of Cain, and ran greedily after the error of Balaam for reward, and perished in the gainsaying of Core." (1:10-11).
Having been enlightened to recognize false doctrine, we can add a resounding "Praise the Lord" to Jude's closing statement, "Keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life. And of some have compassion, making a difference: And others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire; hating even the garment spotted by the flesh. Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy, To the only wise God our Saviour, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and ever. Amen." (1:21-25).
Today's Prayer:
Dear God,
Help each of us to understand the wiles of the devil and to be steadfast in our determination to resist temptation at each step. We want to be self-controlled and alert, standing firm in the faith as we resist the devil who prowls around like a roaring lion seeking for someone to devour. Thank you for the power of the Holy Spirit to resist and to overcome. In Jesus' name........Amen.
Have a great and blessed day!
God Bless,
Christina

Bible Study: Armour of God
Armour of God 12.21.08
Hello My Friend/Guest,
Today we are completing our studies on the book of I John, please read Chapters 4-5 in your Bible or you can Click Here to read them online. If the link does not work you can copy and paste this one into your browser: biblegateway.com/passage/?search=I%20J ohn%204-5&version=9
Today we are reading about testing the spirits; an appeal for brotherly love; and the witness of the spirit. Today's message focuses on the importance of realizing that the Holy Spirit and only the Holy Spirit provides you with the truths of the Bible. Any person, thought, or thing that tries to get you to belive that Jesus is not the truth, life, and way (including fake versions of the Bible) is not of the Holy Spirit.
The Apostle John warns believers of the evil spirits trying to detour them away from the one and only True, Holy Spirit. "Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world. Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God: And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world. Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world." (I John 4:1-4).
Doctrinal deception is widespread and often difficult to recognize, but once you accept Jesus into your life the Holy Spirit indwells in you, showing you the truth. Any time you are around people trying to get you to think that Jesus is not God in the flesh then they are not of God. The Holy Spirit leads you to understand the truths in the Bible and gives you the knowledge to pass it onto others. "We are of God: he that knoweth God heareth us; he that is not of God heareth not us. Hereby know we the spirit of truth, and the spirit of error. Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God. He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love. In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him." (4:6-9).
Being born of God is far more than just believing certain facts about Jesus Christ. It affects the whole life, the mind, body, and spirit, it molds our character and guides our conduct. If we have genuinely put our faith in Jesus as the Son of God we will have a desire to be obedient to His Commandments. "Whosoever believeth that Jesus is the Christ is born of God: and every one that loveth him that begat loveth him also that is begotten of him. By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God, and keep his commandments. For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous. For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith." (5:1-4).
Along as Christian's will walk the earth they will daily face the devil trying to get them to lose their faith in Jesus. We can not the devil take control of what we believe! Be strong, stay in God's Word daily and ask Him each day to remove any corruption that you have be subjected to.
"Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked." (Ephesians 6:10-16). Submit yourself to the Holy Spirit, let Him work in you and put on that armour of God that shields you from all evil.
Today's Prayer
Dear God,
We are mindful that we not only fall short of Your glory, but we also fall short of understanding. Understanding all that You want to teach us in this life and the life yet to come. We draw near to You with a sincere heart as we study Your truths and seek to apply them with understanding to our minds and hearts. This comes about as we read the Scriptures, as we meditate in prayer, as we contemplate Your holy character, and even as we make wrong decisions that force us to go back to Your infinite wisdom and understanding. We bless You, Lord, at all times and give thanks for Your infinite wisdom. In Jesus' name........Amen.
Enjoy your day/night.
God Bless you and Merry Christmas,

Today we will be reading about enjoying fellowship with God; the reality of and remedy for sin; children of God and righteousness; and loving one another. Today's message focuses on the importance of realizing that we are to be walking in the light which happens by walking with Jesus.
Dear God,
Our material accumulation initially brings great pleasure, but it fades with each passing day. When we strive to hold onto the things of the world it detours us from that which has eternal significance. Lord, You promise to give us all things that we have need of as we seek You and Your Kingdom above all. May Your light shine in our hearts to give us the light of the glory of God in the face of our Lord Jesus Christ. Search our hearts and if there is any wickness in us lead us out of it. In Jesus' name..........Amen.
God Bless you and Merry Christmas.
Bible Study: Holy Spirit
Holy Spirit 12.19.08
Hello My Friend/Guest,
Today we are studying the book of II Peter, please read Chapters 1-3 in your Bible or you can Click Here to read them online. If the link does not work you can copy and paste this one into your browser: biblegateway.com/passage/?search=II%20 Peter%201-3&version=9
Today we are reading about God's graces; false teachers; and the certainty of Christ's return. Today's message focuses on the importance of letting the Holy Spirit do it's work in us. If we are to be able to live a godly life, we must allow the Holy Spirit to guide us.
The book of II Peter Is the 22nd book/17th epistle of the New Testament and contains 3 chapters. The author of the book is Peter and it was written to the Christian exiles. The purpose of the letter was to warn of the dangers from within, apostacy (rejection) and false teaching. What we are to learn from the book is that the greatest two dangers from within the church are apostacy and false teaching.
This second letter begins with one significant thought, that God has given us all things that pertain to life and godliness. "According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue: Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust. And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge; And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness; And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity. For if these things be in you, and abound, they make you that ye shall neither be barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ." (II Peter 1:3-8). When we read God's Word with a desire to please Him our inner life strengthens. God has made full provision for every Christian to live a victorious Christian life. His Holy Spirit enables us to endure temptation, suffering, failure, sin, and even pride as we read His Word.
Since God's first concern for His children are to be morally and spiritually healthy whatever we face during our lives is necessary in order to give us love, discipline, and correction when we sin. Just as any earthly father would discipline a child, God disciplines us, for His holiness and His wrath against sin are inseparable. "The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up. Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness, Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat? Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness. Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of him in peace, without spot, and blameless." (3:9-14).
Each day that we read God's Word our daily life is transformed to reflect His life through us. Think about many of the things that you once did before being saved and how they just do not seem right to do anymore, that is the Holy Spirit working in us. Our union with Christ takes place at the moment of conversion and its results exclude all that is not in harmony with His Word.
Today's Prayer:
Dear God,
There is nothing we can do in our own power or charm to receive Your favor, but we do receive Your forgiveness as we believe on Jesus and the wondrous work of His redemption through death on a cross. Then we are no longer orphans but are adopted into the family of believers who call You Father. And the amazing blessing is that You call us Your children. We receive You as our Father, our Savior, and our REdeemer. In Jesus' name.........Amen.
Enjoy your day/night!
God Bless You and Merry Christmas,
Christina

Hello My Friend/Guest,
Today we are completing our studies on the book of I Peter, please read Chapters 3-5 in your Bible or you can Click Here to read them online. If the link does not work you can copy and paste this one into your browser: biblegateway.com/passage/?search=I%20P eter%203-5&version=9
Today we are reading about the duties of husbands and wives; rewards through suffering; and the duties of the elders. Today's message focuses on the importance of realizing that we can not live in fear of believing in Christ nor should we be ashamed to tell others.
There is just One True Source of spiritual knowledge and strength, that it God's Word. The Holy Spirit led the apostle Peter to write, "As every man hath received the gift, even so minister the same one to another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God. If any man speak, let him speak as the oracles of God; if any man minister, let him do it as of the ability which God giveth: that God in all things may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom be praise and dominion for ever and ever. Amen." (I Peter 4:10-11). We must not modify or ignore the only Guide to Life that our Creator has given as the standard by which we must live.
The last recorded words that Jesus spoke personally to Peter were on the shores of the Sea of Galilee, when Jesus asked him to teach the Gospel, (See John 21:15-17). Peter fulfilled that commission by passing the Word along to all of us. However, Peter knew from experience that witnessing for Christ would bring persecution and the temptation to become secret disciples. "Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you: But rejoice, inasmuch as ye are partakers of Christ's sufferings; that, when his glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad also with exceeding joy. If ye be reproached for the name of Christ, happy are ye; for the spirit of glory and of God resteth upon you: on their part he is evil spoken of, but on your part he is glorified. But let none of you suffer as a murderer, or as a thief, or as an evildoer, or as a busybody in other men's matters. Yet if any man suffer as a Christian, let him not be ashamed; but let him glorify God on this behalf." (4:12-16).
All who accept Jesus into their lives will face some type of persecution at one time, but we can not let that stop us from teaching others about Him nor can we hide in shame for our beliefs. We hear timeless stories of people who have died by holding true to their faith in Christ, even Christ Himself died, but He rose again and gave us life. We have nothing to fear because we are not alone and have a much better life awaiting us. Jesus tells us whom to fear, "Fear them not therefore: for there is nothing covered, that shall not be revealed; and hid, that shall not be known. What I tell you in darkness, that speak ye in light: and what ye hear in the ear, that preach ye upon the housetops. And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell. Are not two sparrows sold for a farthing? and one of them shall not fall on the ground without your Father. But the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear ye not therefore, ye are of more value than many sparrows. Whosoever therefore shall confess me before men, him will I confess also before my Father which is in heaven." (Matthew 10:26-32). Anyone that harms any one of God's people will have to answer to Him.
Only God decides when it is time for you to join Him in heaven, until then He wants you to tell others about Jesus and the blessings awaiting them if they accept Him. Walk with your head up high knowing that you are one of Jesus' disciples, He is right there with you through it all and will take care of you every step of the way.
Today's Prayer:
Dear God,
We are so thankful that there is nothing in our past or future that can separate us from Your love or daily provision for our lives. You provide the necessary tools to overcome the difficulties we encounter from earliest childhood to present day. Though the enemy seeks to disrupt our lives, pollute our minds and sear our conscience we will not be defeated by evil. Instead we overcome evil with the steadfast goodness You instill in our hearts as we hold dearly to the light of Your Word. We say “no” to ungodliness and worldly passion as we eagerly wait for our great hope in the second coming of Your Son, Jesus, who will unite us with You, our Father, in heaven. Keep us faithful and ever hopeful. In Jesus' name..........Amen.
Enjoy the rest of your day/night!

Bible Study: You're Special

Hello My Friend/Guest,
Today wer are beginning our studies on the book of I Peter, please read Chapters 1-2 in your Bible or you can Click Here to read them online. If the link does not work you can copy and paste this one into your browser: biblegateway.com/passage/?search=I%20P eter%201-2&version=9
Today we will read about Christian dedication; the proper use of Christian liberty; and being Christlike. Today's message focuses on the importance of realizing that You are specially chosen by God and no one can take that away from you.
The book of I Peter is the 21st book/16th epistle of the New Testament and contains 5 chapters. The author of the book is Peter and it was written to exiles being persecuted for their Christian faith. The purpose of the letter was to warn them of the danger of persecution from those outside of the Church. What we are to learn from the book is that response to persecution should be based on Scriptural principles not emotional.
Peter referred to Christian's as elect, a special group chosen and favored by God. "Peter, an apostle of Jesus Christ, to the strangers scattered throughout Pontus, Galatia, Cappadocia, Asia, and Bithynia, Elect according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, through sanctification of the Spirit, unto obedience and sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ: Grace unto you, and peace, be multiplied. Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, To an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you, Who are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time." (I Peter 1-5). What a wonderful feeling to know that you were personally chosen by God and that you have an inheritance waiting for you in heaven.
Peter points out that the nourishment of the Word is essential if we are to live as obedient children. "As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby: If so be ye have tasted that the Lord is gracious." (2:2-3).
Our time here on earth is very brief and only temporary, but while we are here we are warned not to fall into corruption. "But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light; Which in time past were not a people, but are now the people of God: which had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy. Dearly beloved, I beseech you as strangers and pilgrims, abstain from fleshly lusts, which war against the soul; Having your conversation honest among the Gentiles: that, whereas they speak against you as evildoers, they may by your good works, which they shall behold, glorify God in the day of visitation." (2:9-12). Each of us is a sacred temple for the indwelling Holy Spirit. In addition, we have been chosen to be God's People.
Therefore we are to grow into the likeness of Christ, "For even hereunto were ye called: because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that ye should follow his steps: Who did no sin, neither was guile found in his mouth: Who, when he was reviled, reviled not again; when he suffered, he threatened not; but committed himself to him that judgeth righteously: Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed. For ye were as sheep going astray; but are now returned unto the Shepherd and Bishop of your souls." (2:21-25).
Since we are chosen to be God's people we will face much persecution, we must be Christlike and not stoop to their level when confronted by those who want to see us fall. Nevertheless, we are still God's People and no one can take that away from us.
Today's Prayer:
Dear God,
As Your chosen people, we are mindful that we not only fall short of Your glory, but we also fall short of understanding. Understanding all that You want to teach us in this life and the life yet to come. But we draw near to You with a sincere heart as we study Your truths and seek to apply them with understanding to our minds and hearts. This comes about as we read the Scriptures, as we meditate in prayer, as we contemplate Your holy character, and even as we make wrong decisions that force us to reaccess our actions and go back to Your infinite wisdom and understanding. As we do so we hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for You are faithful in all You say and in all You do. In Jesus' name.........Amen.
Enjoy your day/night!

Today we will be reading about Christian's rejoicing through trials, hearing the Word of God; the dangers of the tongue; worldliness and pride; a warning to the rich; and the power of prayer. Today's message focuses on the importance of realizing that trials in life are meant to improve your relationship with God, not hinder it. It is your faith in God that allows you to overcome all afflictions and see victory.
Dear God,
We bow in prayer before You today, and ask that You, in Your great glory give us the power to be strong inwardly through Your Spirit. We pray that Christ will live in our hearts by faith and that our lives will be strong in love and be built on love. And we pray that we will have the power to understand the greatness of Christ’s love. We pray for our loved ones who are struggling in their faith, that they would be able to experience Your inexhaustible love, that they might be filled with Your fullness, Father. With Your power working in and through us, You can do much, much more than anything we can ever ask or even imagine. So we thank You in advance for hearing our heart’s cry and for answered prayer. Today we will be reading about Christ, the High Priest; an appeal to believe; the priestly order of Melchizedek; and the priesthood or Aaron which was inferior to Christ's. Today's message focuses on the importance of God's Mercy.
Our highest privilege is to press on to be like Him and treasure the will of God as the most precious thing in our life. Too often our trouble is not that we do not know the will of God but, rather, that we do not yield to His will when He makes it clear.
Dear God,
As Your children we need to regularly examine our hearts to see if there are things, pursuits, or attitudes that are drawing us away from Your heart and thrusting us once again into the mindset of the world. Since You know our hearts more than we do ourselves, reveal to us that which helps and that which hinders our Christian walk. As we walk in obedience to You we are grateful for the peace and rest we receive in knowing that You do not condemn us, but deliver mercy to help us in our time of need. You do not stand over us in judgment, but You walk alongside us assuring us of Your unwavering love and unending mercy that will see us through on this side of the journey. In Jesus' name..........Amen.

Bible Study: Christian Principles
Christian Principles 12.11.08
Hello My Friend/Guest,
Today we are studying the books Titus and Philemon, please read Titus Chapters 1-3 and Philemon Chapter 1 in your Bible or you can click the following links to read them online. If the links do not work you can copy and paste them into your browser.
Titus : biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Titus %201-3&version=9 Philemon : biblegateway .com/passage/?search=Phile mon%201&version=9
Today we will be reading about the qualifications of church officers; a warning about false teachers; Christian conduct; and Paul's appeal for Onesimus. Today's message focuses on Christian principles. It is not enough to do good, we must do it according to God's Will.
The book of Titus is the 17th book/12th epistle of the New Testament and contains 3 chapters. The author of the book is Paul and it was written to Titus, a Greek convert and fellow worker with Paul. The purpose of the letter is to correct problems and establish proper order in the churches located on the island of Crete. What we are to learn from it is that founding a good work is not enough. That work must be established and organized according to the principles of God's Word.
The churches on the island of Crete needed spiritual leadership, so Paul instructed Titus to ordain qualified men to fill these positions. "For this cause left I thee in Crete, that thou shouldest set in order the things that are wanting, and ordain elders in every city, as I had appointed thee: If any be blameless, the husband of one wife, having faithful children not accused of riot or unruly. For a bishop must be blameless, as the steward of God; not selfwilled, not soon angry, not given to wine, no striker, not given to filthy lucre; But a lover of hospitality, a lover of good men, sober, just, holy, temperate; Holding fast the faithful word as he hath been taught, that he may be able by sound doctrine both to exhort and to convince the gainsayers." (Titus 1:5-9). The Church belongs to Christ. His qualifications for spiritual leaders must be followed; man's alternative options are unacceptable to God.
Paul also gave instruction that older men and women should teach the younger men and women, instructing them to forsake evil passions and worldly ambitions, and to live honorably before the Lord. "For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men, Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world; Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ; Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works. These things speak, and exhort, and rebuke with all authority. Let no man despise thee." (2:11-15). Our teaching must be based upon the threefold work of Christ for His people as a result of His death upon the cross. 1) He set us free and redeemed us from all iniquity. 2) He set us apart and purified to Himself a peculiar people (special possession). 3) He called us to be zealous (eager) of good works.
The book of Philemon is the 18th book/13 epistle of the New Testament and contains 1 chapter. The author of the book is Paul and it was written to Philemon, a Christian who lived at Colosse. The purpose of the letter was to appeal for Onesimus, the runaway slave of Philemon who had become a believer. What we are to learn from it is that Christian principles must be applied to social relationships.
Paul simply identifies himself as a prisoner of Jesus Christ. "Paul, a prisoner of Jesus Christ, and Timothy our brother, unto Philemon our dearly beloved, and fellowlabourer, And to our beloved Apphia, and Archippus our fellowsoldier, and to the church in thy house: Grace to you, and peace, from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ." (Philemon 1:1-3).
Although Paul was imprisoned by the Roman Empire, he knew who really had control of his life. In his letter to Philemon he expressed the same attitude of gratitude. "I thank my God, making mention of thee always in my prayers, Hearing of thy love and faith, which thou hast toward the Lord Jesus, and toward all saints; That the communication of thy faith may become effectual by the acknowledging of every good thing which is in you in Christ Jesus." (1:4-6). No matter what struggles we face they are all allowed by God. Struggles allow us to draw closer to Him, to seek Him more, and acknowledge that He is in control.
God does not want to see us suffer, but He knows what we can handle and works everything together for our good. Stay faithful to Him and do not cease from praying, You will see victory.
Today's Prayer:
Dear God,
We are so thankful that there is nothing in our past or future that can separate us from Your love or daily provision for our lives. In Jesus' name.........Amen.

Hello My Friend/Guest,
Today we are studying the book of II Timothy, please read Chapters 1-4 in your Bible or you can Click Here to read them online. If the link does not work you can copy and paste this one into your browser: biblegateway.com/passage/?search=II%20 Timothy%201-4&version =9
Today we are reading about Pauls's exortations to Timothy; the coming denial of Christ; steadfastness in the Scriptures; the charge to preach or teach. Today's message continues to focus on the importance of learning and teaching God's Word. We can not be ashamed of what we know nor be afraid to tell others. Jesus gives us the strength and protection to withstand all persecution.
The book of II Timothy is the 16th book/11 epistle of the New Testament and contains 4 chapters. The author of the book is Paul and it was written to Timothy. The purpose of the letter was to challenge Timothy to assume responsibility for the ministry which the apostle was handing over to him. What we are to learn from the book is that each one teach one to reach one.
Paul wrote this book from prison as he knew he would soon be executed for his faith. Paul reminds Timothy that his mother and grandmother had faithfully taught him and that he should no be ashamed to teach what he learned to others. "When I call to remembrance the unfeigned faith that is in thee, which dwelt first in thy grandmother Lois, and thy mother Eunice; and I am persuaded that in thee also. Wherefore I put thee in remembrance that thou stir up the gift of God, which is in thee by the putting on of my hands. For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind. Be not thou therefore ashamed of the testimony of our Lord, nor of me his prisoner: but be thou partaker of the afflictions of the gospel according to the power of God; " (II Timothy 1:5-8). We can not live in fear of our beliefs, we will all face persecution, but rest assure that Jesus is with us and gives us the strength and protection to withstand all afflictions.
Paul was deeply concerned that Timothy would remain faithful to God. Paul choose him because he knew that the Scriptures would prepare him to be responsible to carry out the Lord's commands. "Thou therefore, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus. And the things that thou hast heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also. Thou therefore endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ. No man that warreth entangleth himself with the affairs of this life; that he may please him who hath chosen him to be a soldier. " (II Timothy 2:1-4). Paul knew that for Timothy to remain faithful in the midst of trials and disappointments, he would need to diligently study the Word of God as essential for spiritual wisdom. This is a lesson for us all to learn, we must keep God's Word in us daily, this will also allow us the teach the truth to others.
Paul also encouraged Timothy to remember that the Holy Scriptures are necessart to make us wise and teach us many things. "But continue thou in the things which thou hast learned and hast been assured of, knowing of whom thou hast learned them; And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus. All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works." (3:13-17).
This is a doctrine of vital importance to the Church in this generation. Both testaments are the Word of God and we must study both in order to understand God's message. The terms "old" and "new" testaments are used to distinguish between God's agreement with man before and after the death of Jesus Christ. We do not disregard the Old Testament simply because it is called "old." The Almighty God obviously controls all the affairs of the universe and nothing could have been more vital than His control over the men whom He inspired to translate into English more than 400 years ago the One Book that reveals His will for our lives.
The Almighty God obviously controls all the affairs of the universe and nothing could have been more vital than His control over the men whom He inspired to translate into English more than 400 years ago the One Book that reveals His will for our lives.Dear God,
Help me to remain faithful to You and your calling upon my life. Strengthen and grow my faith as I daily search Your Scriptures and apply their truths to my spiritual walk. As I go through the trials and experiences of my earthly journey would You fix my eyes and my ever-wandering heart upon Jesus. Because I take refuge in You my spiritual foundation is firm, always dependable, and leads me to glorious victory. In Jesus' name........Amen.

Hello My Friend/Guest,
Today we are studying the book of I Timothy, please read Chapters 1-6 in your Bible or you can Click Here to read them online. If the link does not work you can copy and paste this link into your browser: biblegateway.com/passage/?search=I%20T imothy%201-6&version= 9
Today we are reading about a warning against false doctrine; being thankful for God's mercy; the qualifications of church leaders; instructions about the widows and elderly; and the good fight of faith. Today's message focuses on the importance of being disciplined&nb sp;daily in our reading and praying. The only way to know the truth and live it is to read it for yourself.
The book of I Timothy is the 15th book/10th epistle of the New Testament and contains 6 chapters. The author of the book is Paul and it was written to Timothy, his son through faith. The purpose of the letter was to address some of the problems and needs which existed in the church at Ephesus, which he was ministering to. What we are to learn from the book is that we should live a life example of the ministry to which we have been called.
The Roman Emperor Nero was ruthlessly persecuting Christians and condemning many of them to death at the time Paul wrote this letter to Timothy. However, Paul stressed the importance of praying for those who were in authority over them, regardless of their conduct. "I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour; Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth." (I Timothy 2:1-4). As we pray for world leaders, as well as for our local officials, we can be sure our prayers will have an effect upon their actions, whether the men themselves are godly or evil.
As believer's we are urged to discipline ourselves daily to set time aside to be alone with God by praying and reading His Word. Daily study and meditation of God's Word gives us sound doctrine of how God wants us to live and increases our faith in Him. Many Christians have drifted away from the godly principles of the Bible. Paul reminds us, "For every creature of God is good, and nothing to be refused, if it be received with thanksgiving: For it is sanctified by the word of God and prayer. If thou put the brethren in remembrance of these things, thou shalt be a good minister of Jesus Christ, nourished up in the words of faith and of good doctrine, whereunto thou hast attained. But refuse profane and old wives' fables, and exercise thyself rather unto godliness. For bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come." (I Timothy 4:4-8).
Our lives will be occupied either by the Holy Spirit or by self and the standards of the world. There can be no sharing of authority, and there is just one true safeguard against deception, it is knowing all the Word of God.
In Jesus' name.......Amen.
Have a wonderful and blessed day!
God Bless and Seasons Greetings,
Christina

Bible Study: Teach the Gospel
Teach the Gospel 12.08.08
Hello My Friend/Guest,
Today we are studying the book of II Thessalonians, please read Chapters 1-3 in your Bible or you can Click Here to read them online. If the link does not work you can copy & paste this link into your browser: biblegateway.com/passage/?search=II%20 Thessalonians%201-3&v ersion=9
Today we are reading about encouragement when facing persecution; instructions concerning Christ's return; and a commandment to work. Today's message focuses on the importance of realizing that we must learn and teach the Gospel to all who do not know Jesus.
The book of II Thessalonians is the 14th book/9th epistle of the New Testament and contains 3 chapters. The author of the book/epistle is Paul and it is written to the church at Thessalonica. The purpose of the letter was to instruct believers awaiting for the return of the Lord. What we are to learn is that it is important to teach and live by sound doctrine.
There are two defining events that everyone in the world must face, death and the coming of Jesus. It is a devastating fact that the vast majority of mankind is blindly heading toward an eternal lake of fire. Good people are ignorantly ignoring the call to reciever Jesus into their lives and sadld will suffer greatly. "Seeing it is a righteous thing with God to recompense tribulation to them that trouble you; And to you who are troubled rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels, In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ: Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power; When he shall come to be glorified in his saints, and to be admired in all them that believe (because our testimony among you was believed) in that day." (II Thessalonians 1:6-10).
Much of the world has it's heart set on gaining more and more of this life's luxuries, they are never satisfied with what they have, longing more and more of what they really do not need. When they can not meet this expectations fears and frustrations grow as the result of their inability to cope adequately with situations they can't change. This drive has, at times, led to physical and emotional exhaustion, depression, and burnout.
At times, we are all tempted to be influenced by this spirit of the world that deceives so many, "Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders, And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved." (2:9-10). We need to remind ourselves daily that we are in a spiritual battle against satanic forces, but through grace we are saved and comforted by the Lord Jesus Christ. "Now our Lord Jesus Christ himself, and God, even our Father, which hath loved us, and hath given us everlasting consolation and good hope through grace, Comfort your hearts, and stablish you in every good word and work." (2:16-17).
The coming judgment seems written so large in human events that no one should mistake or ignore it. Yet, the secular mind seems unable to see the invisible hand of the Almighty God in the chaos of world affairs. No matter how much we try there are some that refuse to know the truth and sadly will realize it when it's too late, but many simply do not know the truth. That is why it is very important for believers to teach the Gospel to all, you do not have to know the entire Bible. As long as you know that Jesus is the sinless son of God, who died on the cross to save you from your sins, then was buried, and three days later arose then you know the truth. If you have doubts, get into the Bible, preferably a King James Bible, and read the truth, if you need help go to aspiritualguide.net/salvation.htm to learn more.
Be aware that not all will be receptive to your teaching, but do not be offended, it's not a personal attack on you, they just are ignorant to accepting the truth, and sadly some will always be. Jesus gave instructions to all His disciples, "After these things the LORD appointed other seventy also, and sent them two and two before his face into every city and place, whither he himself would come. Therefore said he unto them, The harvest truly is great, but the labourers are few: pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he would send forth labourers into his harvest. Go your ways: behold, I send you forth as lambs among wolves.........But into whatsoever city ye enter, and they receive you not, go your ways out into the streets of the same, and say, Even the very dust of your city, which cleaveth on us, we do wipe off against you: notwithstanding be ye sure of this, that the kingdom of God is come nigh unto you." (Luke 10:1-310-11).
Today's Prayer:
Dear God,
I pray that You would wash me, and I will be whiter than snow. Blot out all my iniquity. Lord, open my lips, and my mouth that will enable me to declare Your praise. As I come to You humbly and in brokenness of spirit You restore to me the joy of Your salvation much like the new fallen snow that covers the earth. Thank You for being merciful and forgiving and for your grace. In Jesus' name.......Amen.
Enjoy your day/night and Seasons' Greetings.
God Bless,
Chrsitina

Bible Study: Christ in You
Christ In You 12.06.08
Hello My Friend/Guest,
Today we are studying the book of Colossians, please read Chapters 1-4 in your Bible or you can Click Here to read them online. If the link does not work you can copy and paste this one into your browser: biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Colos sians%201-4&version=9
Today we are reading about the supremacy of Christ; reconciliati on through Christ; a warning against false teaching; the new life in Christ; and Christian virtues. Today's message focuses on the importance of realizing that Christ lives in You and that you are to do All things in His name.
The book of Colossians is the 12th book and 7th epistle of the New Testament and contains 4 chapters. The author of the book is Paul and it was written to the belivers in Colosse who were to share the letter with the believers at Laodecea. The purpose of the letter was to address doctrinal issues in the church. What we are to learn is that Christ is all and is in all.
As we continue reading the Word of God with a desire to please Him in all that we do the Holy Spirit guides us to a deeper understanding and revelation to follow His will. There is no limit to the understanding, strength, and endurance that is made available to every Christian. Jesus Christ alone, through His Word can reveal and meet all of our spiritual needs.
To help us understand the importance of realizing this Paul wrote, "For this cause we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to desire that ye might be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding; That ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God; Strengthened with all might, according to his glorious power, unto all patience and longsuffering with joyfulness; Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light: Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son: In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins: Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature: For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him: And he is before all things, and by him all things consist." (Colossians 1:9-17). Notice how often the word all is used here. It is God's desire that we All be led by the knowledge of His will and All become wise and are strengthen with His glorious power.
What follows is the practical expression of the new life in Christ for all believers, "For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily. And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power: In whom also ye are circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, in putting off the body of the sins of the flesh by the circumcision of Christ: Buried with him in baptism, wherein also ye are risen with him through the faith of the operation of God, who hath raised him from the dead. And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses; Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross; And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it." (2:9-15). Once we recieve Chris and are baptised All of our sins are washed away and a new life in Him begins.
As evidence of this new life as Christians, Paul encouraged the new believers to put to death All past sins. "When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory. Mortify (put to death) therefore your members which are upon the earth; fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil concupiscence, and covetousness, which is idolatry: For which things' sake the wrath of God cometh on the children of disobedience: In the which ye also walked some time, when ye lived in them." (3:4-7). We are all sinners, but once we are saved we are to be an example to those who still live in sin, do not judge them, just pray for them and continue on with renewing Your Christ filled life.
The Christian that studies God's Word is difficult to lead astray, Paul reminds us, "Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord. And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him." (3:16-17).
Today's Prayer:
Dear God,
We earnestly seek You for wisdom regarding the daily circumstances of our lives. Help us to incline our hearts toward You for understanding all that You have to teach us in the lessons of life. During the quiet sessions when Your voice seems silent help us to trust You knowing that You work all things out for our good, for Your glory, and in Your time reference. In Jesus' name........Amen.
Have a wonderful day.
God Bless,
Christina

Bible Study: A Child of God
A Child of God 12.03.08
Hello My Friend/Guest,
Today we are beginning our studies on the book of Ephesians, please read Chapters 1-3 in your Bible or you can Click Here to read them online. If the link does not work you can copy and paste this one into your browser:biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Ephes ians%201-3&version=9
Today we are reading about Spiritual blessings in Christ; prayers of Paul; the unity of believers; and Paul's mission to the Gentiles. Today's message focuses on the importance of realizing that all who accept Jesus are children of God and no matter what happens no one can take that away.
The book of Ephesians is the 10th book and 5th epistle of the New Testament, it contains 6 chapters and was written by the apostle Paul to the church at Ephesus. The purpose of the epistle was to inform believers of their wealth in Christ and instruct then concerning their walk in Christ. What we are to learn from the book is that all Christ's believers are heirs to both the blessings (the wealth) and the responsibilities (the walk) of their calling in Christ.
The God who created all mankind has chosen us to be His children, in fact He has chosen us even before the world was form. "Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ: According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love: Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will, To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved." (Ephesians 1:3-6). The book of Ephesians is the key for the believer who will settle for nothing less than God's will.
What an amazing discovery to know that God has chosen us well before we were even thought of to be His children. It was no coincidence that we know the truth, He knows exactly what time in our lives we will be able to handle the truth and the responsibilities that He has given us along with it. No person or power can cheat us out of the very best that God has planned for our lives. As we daily read and study His Word with a desire to do His will, we can then pray and depend upon the Holy Spirit to guide our lives along the path that He has destined for us.
Before Christ came to earth, only the Jews had a Covenant relationship with God, but by the grace of God Jews and Gentiles alike who receive Christ as Savior and Lord now have a Covenant relationship with Him. "And you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins; Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience: Among whom also we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others. But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us, Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;) And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus: That in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus." (2:1-7).
In A.D. 70, God used the Roman general Titus to destroy the Temple, the Brazen Altar of Sacrifice, and the functions of the high priest. These merely foreshadowed the Messiah Jesus who is the only Means through which anyone can approach the One True God to worship Him. "Unto me, who am less than the least of all saints, is this grace given, that I should preach among the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ; And to make all men see what is the fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the world hath been hid in God, who created all things by Jesus Christ: To the intent that now unto the principalities and powers in heavenly places might be known by the church the manifold wisdom of God, According to the eternal purpose which he purposed in Christ Jesus our Lord: In whom we have boldness and access with confidence by the faith of him." (3:8-12).
Dear God,
You gave first and foremost as you selflessly gave of Yourself through the person of Jesus Christ. Your gift of grace exceeds human description, for the far-reaching effects in our lives is truly indescribable. It’s too wonderful for words, but it brings unspeakable joy and glorious hope that makes our spiritual journey so worthwhile. We receive Your indescribable gift that brings forgiveness for our sins and reserves for us a home in heaven for all eternity. In Jesus' name..........Amen.
Have a wonderful Wednesday!
God Bless,
Christina
Bible Study: Spirit Vs Flesh
Spirit vs Flesh 12.02.08
Hello My Friend/Guest,
Today we are completing our studies on the book of Galatians, please read Chapters 4-6 in your Bible oe you can Click Here to read them online. If the link does not work you can copy and paste this link into your browser: biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Galat ians%204-6&version=9
Today we are reading about the two Covenants of Law and the Gospel od Grace; the liberty of the Gospel; the sins of the flesh; and the fruit of the Spirit. Today's message focuses on the importance of realizing that we struggle within ourselves between spirit and flesh. It is important that we learn to walk in the fruit of the spirit rather than the lusts of the flesh.
Paul explains the history of the two covenants the Law and the Gospel of Grace. The covenants represent two women in Abraham's life, Hagar and Sarah. "For it is written, that Abraham had two sons, the one by a bondmaid, the other by a freewoman. But he who was of the bondwoman was born after the flesh; but he of the freewoman was by promise. Which things are an allegory: for these are the two covenants; the one from the mount Sinai, which gendereth to bondage, which is Agar." (Galatians 4:22-24).
Hagar, whom by human reasoning gave birth to Ishmael, is symbolic of the human efforts used of the Law to accomplish the will of God. Sarah, whom by faith gave birth to Issac, is symbolic of God's grace as this miraculous birth took place when they we too old to have children (Sarah was 99). "Now we, brethren, as Isaac was, are the children of promise. But as then he that was born after the flesh persecuted him that was born after the Spirit, even so it is now. Nevertheless what saith the scripture? Cast out the bondwoman and her son: for the son of the bondwoman shall not be heir with the son of the freewoman. So then, brethren, we are not children of the bondwoman, but of the free." (4:28-31). God imparted miraculous life obtained by faith with spiritual fruitfulness.
The Apostle Paul warns of 17 specific sins made by the flesh, adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness (sensuality), idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance (discord), emulations (jealousy), wrath, strife, seditions (rebellion), heresies (unorthodox beliefs), envyings, murders, drunkenness, and revellings (getting drunk). "Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, Idol atry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God." (5:19-21).
Dear God,
As I commit myself to You this day, I ask that You make me a glowing ember of Your truth, Your wisdom, and Your compassionate mercy. I want my light to shine for You so that all glory will be directed back to You, my source of light. If I find myself in the midst of a circle of employees engaged in ungodly conversation help me not to blend in. But rather help me to be the light of Your glory in my conversation, full of grace, so that I will know how to respond to each person. I ask that You would reveal to me any false motivation for carrying out good deeds. Remind me that it is for Your glory that I do these things. It is neither for the praise of others nor for personal advancement, but the advancement of the Gospel. Lord, help me to reach just one today with an unexpected act of kindness that will direct the recipient’s thoughts toward You. In Jesus' name.......Amen.
Have a wonderful and blessed day!

Bible Study: False Gospel Teaching
False Gospel Teaching 12.01.08
Hello My Friend/Guest,
Today we are beginning our studies on the book of Galatians, please read Chapters 1-3 in your Bible or you can Click Here to read them online. If the link does not work you can copy & paste this one into your browser: biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Galat ians%201-3&version=9
Today we are reading about the reminder that there is only One True Gospel; Paul's rebuke of Peter; justification by faith not Law; and our guide to Christ. Today's message focuses on the importance of realizing that all who accept the Lord Jesus Christ as our Savior are saved by faith and not by works. If you have accepted Jesus as your Savior and still think that you have to work you way to heaven you are being decieved.
The book of Galatians is the 9th book of the New Testament and also the 4th epistle and contains 6 chapters. The author of the epistle is Paul and it was written to the believers of Galatia. The purpose of the epistle was to correct the false teaching of Jewish legalism in the Church. What we are to learn from the book is that Jesus delivered us from law to liberty.
This epistle (letter) settles the fact that there is only One way to avoid spending an eternal death in the lake of fire. It also gives us the assurance that all who accept Jesus as their Savior enjoys eternal life in heaven. "Paul, an apostle, (not of men, neither by man, but by Jesus Christ, and God the Father, who raised him from the dead;) And all the brethren which are with me, unto the churches of Galatia: Grace be to you and peace from God the Father, and from our Lord Jesus Christ, Who gave himself for our sins, that he might deliver us from this present evil world, according to the will of God and our Father: To whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen." (Galatians 1:1-5).
Paul also warns us that there are going to be people in the world teaching a false gospel and that we need to keep our focus on the True Gospel. "I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel: Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ. But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. We are reminded that no one deserves or earns the right to heaven by keeping the Law, we are given that right by putting our faith in the Lord, Jesus Christ." (1:6-8). We are going to be faced with many different views on what the True Gospel is, but we can rest assure that the truth is in the Holy Bible. That is why it is so important to read it daily and not be corrupted by those who try to alter God's Word.
We are reminded that no one deserves or earns the right to heaven by keeping the Law, we are given that right by our faith in the Lord, Jesus Christ. "Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified. But if, while we seek to be justified by Christ, we ourselves also are found sinners, is therefore Christ the minister of sin? God forbid. For if I build again the things which I destroyed, I make myself a transgressor. For I through the law am dead to the law, that I might live unto God. I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me." (6:16-20).
Jesus is the only mediator that gets us to heaven, the full meaning of God's grace and undeserved loving-kindness was revealed when Jesus died on the cross that we might be delivered from our sin and eventually enter heaven to be with Him. Since no one has the ability to keep the Law of God, Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the Law, by becoming the curse for us. This is the True Gospel of Christ and if you are getting any other information you are being decieved. Do not be decieved, learn the truth. Get into reading your Bible, God will help you understand what you are reading, get into a Bible believing church if you are not in one, stick with Bible studies by teachers such as myself that will help you further understand. By surrounding yourself with the truth you can not be corrupted by the false teachings of others.
Today's Prayer:
Dear God,
Help me to remain faithful to You and your calling upon my life. Strengthen and grow my faith as I daily search Your Scriptures and apply their truths to my spiritual walk. As I go through the trials and experiences of my earthly journey would You fix my eyes and my ever-wandering heart upon Jesus. Help me to stay focused on the truth and not get corrupted by any lies that may have been place before me. In Jesus' name.........Amen.
Have a wonderful day and week.
God Bless,
Christina
